What it is

Search is full-text matching across all your tasks — active, completed, and archived. It’s designed for the “when did I actually ship that?” question, where you know roughly what you did but not the date.

When to use it

  • Looking up past work for a retrospective or performance review.
  • Finding a specific task by a word you remember from the title.
  • Checking whether you’ve already logged something before creating a duplicate.

How to use it

  1. Press Cmd+S (macOS) or Ctrl+S (Windows/Linux), or click the search icon in the app.
  2. Type any word or phrase from a task’s text.
  3. Results show matching tasks ordered by date, newest first.
  4. Filter by archived status to include or exclude archived tasks.
  5. Click a result to jump to the day that task was logged.

Example

“When did I first deploy v2?”
Search deploy v2. First result: Deploy v2 to prod — January 15. Click it, you’re now viewing January 15’s task list.
  • Summary and standups — for browsing by date range when you don’t have a keyword.
  • Quick log — search quality depends on capturing tasks in the first place.
